Here’s a video of the said meeting:
Megan was accompanied by Miss World 1980, Kimberly Santos of Guam and Mr World 2013, New York based student and model, Francisco Escobar Parra of Colombia during her tour of NYC. “It is nice to be back in the USA, my last time here was in 2009, I really love to be here”.
“Megan is a very special Miss World,” said Miss World Events Director Steve Douglas who accompanied the FilAm beauty to the Consulate building on Fifth Avenue.
“Wherever we go we want to engage the Filipino community because that’s what Megan’s wish for the year,” he said. “She’s proud of her heritage and she really wants to use that in a positive way and unite people throughout the world.”
Megan was in New York for a couple of days. The day after her courtesy call at the Philippine Consulate, she flew to Los Angeles where she will stay for three days. Then she’s off to London, then Miami for a day, then Haiti. Afterwards, she will fly back to London for an event, then they will embark on a series of visits in Europe. She goes back to the US after that, en route to China, then Indonesia and the Philippines.
Megan Young edited this teaser herself. She sent some footage to the Miss World Editing Team. The full video will be out soon.
