BEVERLY HILLS, California – The reigning Miss World, 23-year old Megan Young recently met with the Filipino community at a gathering in Beverly Hills.
While her Miss World duties include a year’s worth of international humanitarian visits and fundraisers, Young’s biggest last-minute project has been to help her own homeland, that’s been ravaged by Typhoon Yolanda.
After stops in New York and Los Angeles, Young will cross the Pacific Ocean and tour Asia, including Hong Kong, Jakarta, Philippines and even China, which the Philippines currently has territorial disputes with.
